The most commonly kept Corydoras and an excellent beginner fish. Hardy, active, and endlessly entertaining to watch as they root through the substrate with their sensitive barbels.

Natural Habitat

Slow-moving rivers and streams in subtropical South America. Tolerates cooler water than most tropical fish.

Feeding

Sinking pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, blanched vegetables. Bottom-feeder but must be directly fed.

Breeding

One of the easiest egg-layers to breed. Cool water changes (simulating rain) trigger spawning. T-position method.
